Criminal Abortion and killing of Children

Holy Quran 17:31

وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَوْلَٰدَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَٰقٍ ۖ نَّحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْـًٔا كَبِيرًا

اور تم اپنی اولاد کو مفلسی کے خوف سے قتل مت کرو، ہم ہی انہیں (بھی) روزی دیتے ہیں اور تمہیں بھی، بیشک ان کو قتل کرنا بہت بڑا گناہ ہے، 

And do not kill your children fearing poverty, We provide for them and you, that truly killing them was/is a great/large sin/crime/wrong .
